We created this forum as a place for the SCI and mobility-impaired community to be able to share useful information and help each other out. I’ve been injured for years and I’m still learning things that make my life easier and it’s most often from another SCI community member. For this reason we wanted to create a more effective way of sharing information and improving each other’s lives. At Zūk, we believe in promoting positivity, living a healthy lifestyle, encouraging and enabling independence, and the idea that we are stronger together. Thank you for being a part of this movement.
What workouts and advice do you have that has helped you and could help others? Please share anything related. Thank you.
For beginners to working out:
Watch workout videos for the body parts that you can use. Figure out your own range of motion by mimicking the movements without any resistance. Watch your form in a mirror if possible. Or have someone give you feedback. If there’s any pain, stop and consult your doctor or physical therapist.
When you are comfortable with your form add the smallest amount of resistance possible.
